VIA Announces Boost in Demand for Legal Translation Service

April 28, 2011

VIA, a leading provider of multilingual legal solutions for global businesses, today announced its legal translation services, experienced phenomenal growth in 2010 and Q1 of 2011. So far this year, the demand for legal services has grown tenfold since the launch of its new service line.

Customers now using VIA legal services include Caterpillar, Inc., EthicsPoint, Juniper Networks, ReachLocal, ScanSource, Inc., Semtech, Silicon Image, St. Jude Medical, Vesta Corporation and many more.

"Specialized translations are essential when conducting business in a diverse and globalized marketplace,” said Chanin Ballance, co-founder of VIA. “This is particularly evident when you consider legal translation and the consequence of a poor translation to a contract, transaction or IP matter. Professional translators have to understand the facets of language as well as the unique nature of legal writing, subject matter and terminology.

“As a global online payment solution provider, security and accuracy of all our legal and technical documents is vital. We supply our solutions to financial institutions, online merchants and mobile operators,” said Joshua Creem, Corporate Counsel, Vesta Corporation. “VIA delivers high accuracy legal translations for our contracts.”

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates a translation industry growth of 24 percent in the 2006-2016 decade. Additionally, predictions for high growth areas of translation are legal, financial, and software localization
