Welcome back to this edition of Meet the Team featuring Rita Lipnik, Senior Business Analyst in the IT department.
Read below to learn more about Rita and her experience in the translation industry.
Q: What is your favorite or most interesting hobby?
A: It's hard to pick just one! I recently took up dance classes again and joined a competition group that does Lyrical, Jazz, and Tap. Dance has certainly been a favorite hobby of mine recently, but I also enjoy keeping busy with many other activities. Some other hobbies that I enjoy include knitting (especially baby hats), making jigsaw puzzles, and playing Sudoku.
Q: How long have you been with ULG?
A: I have been with United Language Group for 22 years! I started at P.H. Brink as a Portuguese translator, then Project Coordinator, then Project Manager, and then Senior Project Manager. After these advancement, I switched to the IT Department as an IT Business Support Analyst. I have since progressed and am now a Senior Business Analyst.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job? Why?
A: My favorite part of my job is that I am able to help users every single day. I really enjoy the problem solving aspect of my role, so I appreciate that I am able to solve business problems in my job as well. We also have a great team at ULG, and I love working and collaborating with my coworkers!
Q: Why did you decide to work in the translation industry
A: I actually went to college to become a Translator, and I was lucky enough to get a job working in my area after graduating. Since then, working in the translation industry has been quite the ride!
