Q: What is your favorite or most interesting hobby?
A: My favorite hobby is cooking. I love to cook for my family and friends, and I do it often. I am from Spain and cooking is a big part of my culture as well as my family's. I have a big matriarchal family where all the women cook for everybody, so I am following in my mom and aunt's footsteps.
Q: How long have you been with ULG?
A: I am going on my fourth year of being with United Language Group. I was previously a project coordinator with Merrill, so I was here for the merging of the companies. Last year, I got a promotion to senior project coordinator, and now I am a project manager for Boston Scientific.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job? Why?
A: My favorite part of my job is the problem-solving aspect of it. I enjoy learning new things and overcoming challenges. Before moving from the Minnesota office to working remotely in South Spain, my favorite part of the job was socializing with my co-workers. I miss the office and going out to happy hours with them.
Q: Why did you decide to work in the translation industry?
A: Since I was three, my mom worked for Merrill and my brother eventually started working there, so it has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Also, being bilingual, I often find myself being a translator in my daily life, so working in the translation industry was very natural for me.
