It’s time to start thinking about translating your mandated marketing materials and plan documents such as Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) and Evidence of Coverage (EOC) again.
We know it can be a challenge to meet CMS deadlines, especially when translations are involved. If you’re like most of our clients, you often find yourself scrambling to get everything done in a short amount of time.
As foreign language translators, we’ve learned a thing or two from doing this year after year. So, we put together some tips to help you get ahead of the curve as much as possible:
- Send us your draft documents and we can get started on the translation right away. As long as the changes are minor when you get final approval from the regulatory bodies, we can quickly update the translated versions and format them for you.
- Develop style guides and glossaries. If you don’t have a style guide or glossary yet, now is a good time to create one. These documents will save you lots of time on the translation and review process.
- Use Translation Memory. By recycling previously translated terms commonly used in these standard documents you can reduce turn-around time and improve consistency. For example, by implementing TM we were able to help one publicly traded health plan reduce the translation time of a 300,000 word EOC from 21 days to 10.
We also provide an easy to use online translation services through our ULG Translation Platform. With the ULG Translation Platform you can get instant quotes 24/7. Plus, our cloud based translation management system provides a number of options for turnaround time, including Express if you’re on a tight timeline.
Plus, we can provide certified translation services for all CMS mandated languages including Chinese (traditional and simplified), Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese and 125 more.
