ULG Earns Effie Award Nomination for Effective Marketing

The California Department of Public Health’s COVID vaccine campaign, produced in collaboration with United Language Group, was named a finalist in two separate Effie Award categories


“California vs. COVID-19: Removing barriers to vaccination,” a campaign produced for the California Department of Public Health and the California Department of Technology, was selected as a finalist in two Effie Awards categories: most effective Crisis Response/Critical Pivot and most effective Government and Public Service campaign.

United Language Group worked on the campaign in partnership with a well known international consultancy.

As new public health threats like monkeypox continue to surface, effective public health outreach remains a critical factor in responding to these threats. According to the Modern Language Association, almost 43% of Californians speak a language other than English at home. To be effective, public health campaigns must be designed with these diverse languages and cultures in mind.
